ANTRAM Android app
Privacy policy
Effective 30 October 2026. This notice covers ANTRAM: Meal & Gut Journal (Android package com.antram.health), operated by ANTRAM. The separate website notice covers the public website and early-access list.
What you provide
ANTRAM stores the account details you use to sign in, including your email address, display name, username and account ID. The app accesses and processes personal and sensitive health data that you choose to enter. Calling the app a wellness journal does not change the sensitive nature of these records.
Health data collected and synced to your account
Meal names and times, selected foods, portions and nutrition estimates, meal-related feelings, gut check-in feelings, symptoms or health information you include in check-in notes, and associated timestamps are sent to and stored in our Supabase database linked to your account ID. Profile goals and recipes are also stored there. We use these records to save and retrieve your journal across sessions and devices, display your history, and calculate descriptive summaries of your own entries.
Health data stored on your phone
The separate gut diary stores stool frequency and Bristol stool type, symptom names and severity (such as pain, bloating, gas, urgency, nausea and heartburn), water intake, supplement entries, notes and timestamps in app-private storage on your phone. These diary records are not automatically synced by the diary feature. Local programme progress, calm-session history and preferences support progress displays and reminders.
Photos and food labels
If you select a meal photo, image recognition processes it on your device. The current meal-logging flow does not upload the photo itself. Recognised food labels and their confidence values may be saved with the meal in Supabase, together with the nutrition information you confirm.
Health Connect
Version 2.0.1 does not access or collect data through Android Health Connect. Health information you enter directly in ANTRAM is still processed as described above.
Research sensor sessions
If you use the optional research screen with an ANTRAM prototype sensor, the app displays Bluetooth sensor readings and can save a CSV containing readings, timestamps and context you enter, which may include meal, symptom, sleep or menstrual-cycle notes, in your phone's Downloads/ANTRAM folder. This research-screen CSV is stored on your device; it is not automatically uploaded by that screen. You control whether to share an exported file with a research team.
How information is used
Account and journal information is used to authenticate you, sync your private journal, provide meal and recipe features, show cautious summaries based on your own entries, support community features you choose to use, and operate and secure the service. ANTRAM does not use these records to diagnose or treat disease.
Storage and sharing
ANTRAM uses Supabase as a service provider for authentication and the cloud database, including the account-linked health records described above. Information is transmitted over HTTPS. Private journal records are access-controlled by account; they are not automatically published to other users. Recipes or community content you intentionally publish, including your author name and username, may be visible to other members. Do not include private health details in public posts.
ANTRAM does not sell personal information. Service providers process information to operate the app, and information may be disclosed where legally required. Research CSVs or other files you choose to export or share go to the recipients or apps you select; exported copies are outside ANTRAM's control.
Your choices and retention
You can choose not to add optional health records, notes, photos, community posts or research-session context. Your account-linked journal is kept while your account remains active. Deleting the app alone does not delete your cloud account. To request deletion of your account and associated app data, use the account-deletion control in the app or follow the account deletion instructions. You can also email us for access, correction or deletion assistance. Local diary entries can be removed in the app; clearing app storage removes locally stored app data. Exported files must be deleted from your phone and any recipient separately. Limited information may remain temporarily in operational backups or where retention is required by law.
Children and contact
ANTRAM is not designed for children under 13. For privacy questions, corrections or deletion help, email nevilparekh2003@gmail.com. This policy may be updated as the app changes; the effective date above will be revised.
ANTRAM is a wellness journal, not a medical device or diagnostic service. Consult a qualified clinician about health concerns.
